That answer has changed over the past several months, as LinkedIn made significant updates to the way its feed works. As a result, some content is rewarded, some now has less reach, and you're probably seeing a lot fewer selfies. If you're one of the millions of entrepreneurs who share or engage on LinkedIn, those changes will impact you — and are worth knowing. (Full disclosure: I post every day.) Continued here When You Should Quit Your Job Without Having Another One Lined Up    While it’s uncomfortable to resign without another opportunity lined up, there are two times when it’s important to just let go: 1) When you believe something illegal or unethical is going on at work and you are concerned it will reflect badly on you, and 2) When your current job is negatively affecting your health and your life outside of work. Before you quit, however, you should put together a plan that includes when and how you are going to resign, whom you are going to use as references, and, most importantly, what you are going to say about why you are resigning. People hate to resign without another job lined up. Not just because employers prefer to hire people who are working, but also because it feels like failure. It seems as if you “couldn’t take it.” But there are times when it is very important to just let go. But when you think about it, isn’t all management the management of change? If sales need to be increased, that’s change management. If a merger needs to be implemented, that’s change management. If a new personnel policy needs to be carried out, that’s change management. Leaders should view change not as an occasional disruptor but as the very essence of the management job. Setting tough goals, establishing processes to reach them, carrying out those processes and carefully learning from them — these steps should characterize the unending daily life of the organization at every level. More companies need to describe their work in terms of where they are trying to go in the next month or next quarter or next year. Change management is having its moment. There’s no shortage of articles, books, and talks on the subject. But many of these indicate that change management is some occult subspecialty of management, something that’s distinct from “managing” itself. This is curious given that, when you think about it, all management is the management of change. Continued here
