The biggest problem facing the Indian IT biggies is not the anti-outsourcing wave or tougher H1B laws. It's not even automation, which displaces service jobs; it's their inability to participate in the technological disruption happening with automation/machine learning, mobility, cloud, etc. These disruptions are opportunities - as global CXOs try to figure out how to use them best for their companies. Unfortunately, the Indian IT biggies expect the clients to tell them what they want from these emergent paradigms and offer to find out a cost effective way of doing it. "They are not ready to deal with the 'what aspects of business can I transform with technology' question, which is of high strategic relevance and the real opportunity presenting itself right now.
